Select Strata Reports was founded by Sean McNamara, a NSW Licensed Strata Manager (LIC 20255486), with the aim to deliver high quality strata reports to potential buyers, agents, and vendors.
Sean brings his background in IT, knowledge of strata legislation, interest in data systems and strata management processes, a keen eye for detail, and a dogged determination to dig out hard to find information to the complicated world of strata records.
He can also advise Strata Committees looking for independent insight into books and records compliance in their strata scheme. This includes any “missing pieces” in records, the requirements under the Act relating to specific records to be kept, the view of the scheme presented in searches, and advice on the best formats for records to be kept in.
Sean has contributed to the LookUpStrata website and NSW magazine answering strata compliance questions since 2024, and has been writing on and off about data management and other industry topics on his Strata, Meet Data blog since 2023.
A Strata Manager since 2018, Sean has not only managed buildings, but has also worked in compliance, systems, processes, and data review within strata management agencies, industry peak bodies, and independent consultancies. He was an independent computer consultant for 20+ years before entering strata.
He has also represented the strata management industry on national and state government panels in relation to building reform in NSW and sustainability.
